Recently finished up a poster for the 35 Denton Music Festival. I collaborated with Molly Hensley on this one. Could not have done it without her, especially with the tight deadline on this project!

So I lied about posting more often. I’ve been busy with school and just started up a new blog that everyone should check out. It’s called Material Sounds.
Anyways, this is our first motion graphics project for school. I spent an ungodly amount of time on this and I feel like I need to spend even more. But alas, we’ve moved on. I hope everyone enjoys!
Beautiful video by Buck for UMBRO.

Make something cool every day: Day 2

My little brother posted a link to a post about Christopher Grey today. He is a UK-based designer, Illustrator and photographer. He works in film and animation and is also a writer for Sticks & Stones, Tourist and is also the director of Toy.
He has an impressively broad range of work and of course I love his clean and minimalist style!

Cuban-born, Edel Reodriguez is an extraordinary and accomplished creative. He has done a lot of work from book illustrations to USPS stamps. By the way he was also an art director at TIME magazine magazine for over a decade. I love his art, I love his illustration style, and I love the fact that a lot of his work is done by hand.
Another thing I love is that on his website he also posts his storyboards, sketches, and process!

Thank you Grain Edit for reminding me of one of my favorite studios! Hvass&Hannibal is a very very talented studio based in Copenhagen and honestly, they do everything. Print, digital (duh), 3D installations, set designs (most notably for Efterklang’s DVD). Their style is very geometric and they use a variety of colors. Their intricate and meticulously designed works suggest an air of carelessness and beauty in randomness

I don’t know a lot about this illustrator. She’s half Finnish and half English and apparently takes her inspiration from her childhood and folklore. It’s very obvious too, especially the folklore influences. Sanna Annukka creates deliciously intricate imagery while keeping the elements simple.

Everything about Minneapolis based Charles S. Anderson evokes good times and better days. Charles is the man behind the identity and all design work coming out of the French Paper Co. With clients such as French Paper, Target, Fossil and Sony you can be rest assured that Charles is a busy man.

Taking inspiration from all types of sources, most notably Matisse and Picasso. This Milan based illustrator creates evocative and friendly imagery that has been featured in publications such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.
